Rapper Ice Spice sued over alleged ‘In Ha Mood’ song infringement

The female rapper is being sued for alleged song infringement on 2023 hit ‘In Ha Mood’. The song was released January 6th 2023. The song charted #8 on billboard U.S Rhythmic charts and #18 on Hip hop/R&B charts. The rapper went on to later release a video for the song on January 28th 2023


The rapper went on to perform the song on numerous platforms and on tour. The song was certified “Gold” by selling over 500,000 units in the US within 4 months of its release. By all means “In Ha Mood” was a commercial success for The Black Musician.


 According to reports obtained by TBM,  plaintiffs filed the lawsuit January 17, 2024. New York MC D.Chamberz and engineer Kass “THE PRODUCER” proclaimed to have released a copy of the song. Titled “In that Mood” with the same hook, chorus and overall rhyme scheme almost 1 year prior in January 2022. The rapper is seeking half of her publishing rights for the song as well as any other monies to be made off the song. 



Ice Spice went on to release a EP on January 20th 2023 of that same year titled Like…? . featuring the song selling over 23 million copies with hit Deli. She or her producer has yet to respond to the lawsuit.

  Rapper and Florida artist Rod Wave drops another album ahead of his state wide tour “ The Last Lap tour ” The rapper has had a almost flawless run in the music industry since his emergence in 2019 with his first studio album “ Ghetto Gospel “. Rapper Lil Wayne annouces album in Cetaphil ad.

   Rapper lil Wayne announced a studio album during a Cetaphil commercial . The New Orleans native teased a big announcement earlier this week however during the cetaphil commercial teasing a-lot of topics he’s been in the news about lately but ending the ad commercial with a strategic message in the last scene announcing the Carter 6 with a release date June 6, 2025.   Proclaiming in the Ad “ we’re all a lil sensitive”, promoting the lotion brand and poking fun at him not performing at the 2025 super-bowl, what was shocking to many fans because the super-bowl is being held in the rappers hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana.
