Singer De’angelo dies of pancreatic cancer at 51


 Neo soul legend De’angelo dies at 51 after fighting a battle with pancreatic cancer. The singer was best known for his sensual singing and music in the late 90s and early 2000s. The artist released his hit “How Does It Feel” on January 1, 2000, with a video for the single from his fourth album Voodoo becoming an instant classic with a racy video of the singer to match the song.


Born Micheal Eugene Archer on February 11, 1974 , the single garnered quite the following with his neo
soul music. Winning multiple grammies, one for best R&B performance of How does it feel in 2001, one in 2001 for best R&B album , voodoo, Best R&B album in 2016 for Black Messiah and Best R&B song for Really Love in 2016.


The artist had 3 children sharing a son with the late Angie Stone who passed March 2025 after a car crash.  Angie Stone regarding the singer as “her musical soulmate” to the Associated Press in 1999.The singer leaves a legacy behind with his sultry music and unique R&B sound.
