 Neo soul legend De’angelo dies at 51 after fighting a battle with pancreatic cancer. The singer was best known for his sensual singing and music in the late 90s and early 2000s. The artist released his hit “ How Does It Feel ” on January 1, 2000, with a video for the single from his fourth album Voodoo becoming an instant classic with a racy video of the singer to match the song. Born Micheal Eugene Archer on February 11, 1974 , the single garnered quite the following with his neo soul music. Winning multiple grammies, one for best R&B performance of How does it feel in 2001, one in 2001 for best R&B album , voodoo, Best R&B album in 2016 for Black Messiah and Best R&B song for Really Love in 2016. Atlanta Rapper Pluto releases her second studio album.

  The 21 year old Atlanta native has made her mark in southern rap and the club scene all together in a short time. Emerging on the music scene with single “ WHAM WHAMIEE ” featuring YK Niece. Released as lead single on her first studio album, “ BOTH WAYS ” on June 20th 2025 with the song quickly becoming the song of the summer.   Initially dropping the single only on tik tok, Jada Smith now known as Pluto has kept the momentum going with another album drop with plenty of features just months after her first.  PLUTO WORLD  was released October 10, 2025 with features from Quavo , Nardo Wick, Real Boston Richey, Sexy Redd and more.    Rapper lil Wayne announced a studio album during a Cetaphil commercial . The New Orleans native teased a big announcement earlier this week however during the cetaphil commercial teasing a-lot of topics he’s been in the news about lately but ending the ad commercial with a strategic message in the last scene announcing the Carter 6 with a release date June 6, 2025.   Proclaiming in the Ad “ we’re all a lil sensitive”, promoting the lotion brand and poking fun at him not performing at the 2025 super-bowl, what was shocking to many fans because the super-bowl is being held in the rappers hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Murder Inc Co-Founder and Music exec Irv Gotti dies at 54

Hip Hop legend and music mogul Irv Gotti pronounced dead at 54 from a stroke according to The Hollywood reporter. The Murder-Inc Co Founder had a long fight with diabetes and succumbed to the condition after multiple strokes in 2024 and 2025 early Wednesday February 5th 2025 in a New York City hospital according to sources. The producer had quite the career in the music industry working at Def jam in the late 90’s to go on and start his own label Murder Inc records with multiple controversies with that label   Born Irving Domingo Lorenzo Jr, the music executive was responsible for many musicians and music in the Early 2000s. Producing music for many artist the world still listens to today like Jay-Z , Ashanti, Ja Rule and the late DMX to name a few.
